With over 10 years experience in Sound and a BA Music & Sound Design Degree, Josh still strives to expand his expertise and experience in the Games Industry.
Josh is a Sound Designer from The High Peak District, England. Although his work is primarily focused on the production of sound for Video Games, he has done lots of work on sound exhibitions, soundscapes, sound art and film.
Josh’s sound design approach favours detailed beauty through organic simplicity. Simply put, Josh values the quality and nuance of organic sound, rather than relying on the digital complexity of lengthy effect chains. From the punchy explosion of a tank shell to the delicate shimmering of a forest, Josh aims to represent some form of beauty in every single sound he creates.
Josh started as a composer and songwriter. His longing to weave textural sounds in with his music led him to the mastery of textural soundscapes. He then took an unwavering interest in designing sound for Games, Film and Animation. Since then, he has worked on many games, films and animations, with two recent games being based in North America.
He was nominated for the 2024 Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) Award for his redesign work at University.
