-DOODLE DEITIES (UPCOMING)-

Doodle Deities is an upcoming fantasy, rogue-like card game.
I am a sound designer on the project and am currently in the process of creating some of the unique spell sounds.
The game is currently still in production and is set to release in 2025.
-PAWS & PANS (2024)-

Having composed music for a previous game by Abyssal Byte Games, I then created the Sound Design for their new upcoming game – ‘Paws & Pans’.
For the game, I have created a world of casual, 8 bit sounds, reminiscent of Old Nintendo Games.
-CLOUDED (2024)-

Clouded is an animated short created by Niamh & Nyah Boorman. The short tells a ‘coming of age’ story in a beautifully colourful manner. It was nominated for an award by the Royal Television Society in 2024.
Josh worked along side the composer for this short, to create subtle, sparkling Sound Design that is almost embedded within the music itself.

-THE INSTITUTION (2024)-

Josh worked alone to produce an immersive, generative soundscape based on a conceptual post apocalyptic world.
Utilising Ableton’s Max for Live to create his own creative tools, Josh was able to produce a fully automated, yet randomised soundscape designed for exhibition.
-CULTURAL GHOSTS: SOUND EXHIBITION (2024)-
Cultural Ghosts was part of a Multimedia Exhibition that showcased the erasure and decay of culture in Manchester. Josh worked with 4 other artists to create an array of visual and digital art pieces that they felt represented cultural erasure.
Josh focused on his passion for Manchester’s Music and therefore wrote an Orchestral Soundscape arrangement of Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart which served as the only source of sound in this multimedia exhibition.
-WAR IS NOISE (2023)-

Following the breakout of the war in Ukraine, Josh created an interactive and immersive virtual sound exhibition in Adobe Aero.
This soundworld took a lush, hymnal, harmonic wall of custom-made ‘plane synthesisers’ and combined them with echoing gunfire and interviews with soldiers.
-SONIC WARFARE: THE BAY OF PIGS DISASTER (2023)-
The Bay of Pigs Disaster (2024) was a Dolby Atmos sound experience created by a small group of sound designers, Josh included.
The project first aimed to compile various bodies of Sonic Weaponry research but following this, Josh then moved to create a fictional, retro-futurist, surround sound experience for exhibition.
